MROI Central Tower Weather Statistics
The MROI central tower weather station has been in continuous operation since April of 2008. The instrumentation consists of a 10-meter tower located 60 meters west of center of the optical array. The wind speed and direction are measured by an anemometer located on top of the tower. The other meteorological parameters: air temperature, relative humidity and barometric pressure are measured about 2 meters above ground level on the tower. The precipitation levels are measured with a rain gauge next to the tower and about 1 meter above the ground.
